"One must Be Poor to Know the Luxury of Giving"

I just read this post from Mr. Gosses blog and I think it is a very generouse thing that the families that recieved gifts last year wanted to give back to other families.

The luxury of giving can be a hard thing to do expecialy when you don't have the money to get something for some one. And when you do manage to get the money it feels real good to give and to see the joyouse look from that some one. That is the luxury of giving.

New Yearz

Last year was a very fun time. My Life has it's ups and downs during this year. During the first part of the year it was sort of depressing because me and my one girlfriend Brandi would always argue then i finally dumped her. Then is started a very fun end of the year and summer, which full of partying and havimg fun. I also started my new job in august working at mcdonalds. Though this year was fun my biggest change came the week before christmas when we sent our dad to jail because me and my mom and brother couldn't put up with his abuse any more then we ended up staying at the micro-hotel for a little bit in springville. Then we decided to move back just long enough to fix our house up and move away. But just a few days ago my grampa bailed my father out and he now lives next door but connot talk or come near us do to our restraining order against him.
For this new year i want to graduate from high school and go to college allso my new years resolution is ... well i don't have one because i'll never do it lol.

Goss is God

"Today after second period I challenged Mr. Goss A.K.A THE TANK to a push up competition. It was a contest to 20 push-ups. Whoever does them faster wins. I lost in utter awe as Mr. Goss crushed me in the final 2 push-ups. One day I will regain my posture and challenge THE TANK once more. You shall not defeat me again."

This is what John boyer said in his blogg today after as you can read was defeated by Goss in a push-up challenge and lost by two. Though John admits defeat he says that he will challenge Mr. Goss again and beat him. I say good luck Boyer

WW2 vs. Vietnam

Though all wars are similar to one other they are actually different in many ways. In my english 12 class we were discussing World War 2 vs. Vietnam and how Kurt Vonnegut views them in Slaughter House 5.
History also remembers these events in different ways. For world war 2 history remembers it as a great battle against a the nazi and japaniese tyrants and how we triumphed over them and also many love stories come out of this war by the media. But as for the Vietnam war it was view by many as a lost cause. This is because the U.S basically lost the war and the only thing that came out of it was death.
Kurt Vonnegut also thinks of vietnam the same wa as history does. On page 135 he talks abou thow a kid lost his dad in the battle for hill 875 and how famouse it was. Clearly he was Being sarcastic. For world war 2 Kurt I believe doesn't think of it as a love story as basically hell.
I would like people to post about what they think about these two wars and Kurt Vonnegut.

We are reading Slaughter House 5 in our english class and I just recently read this article from Time and I think it is rather interesting. It talks about what moments fittets hit top spotswhen he was in iraq. For instance he said for Biggest Outrage "Practically anything said by talking heads on TV about the war in Iraq, not that I get to watch much TV. Their thoughts are consistently both grossly simplistic and politically slanted."
Slaughter House 5 and this letter can be connected in many ways. For instance one way is How in chapter 1 in Slaughter House 5 it talks about how he doesn't know what t write and only parts comes to he when he remembers it. This is also how the guy in the news letter talks he also doesn't say alot of good stuff about the war either.
Also they can be different for instanse in slaughter house 5 he doesn't want to be in the war while the guy in the letter wants to be. He also does enjoy and respect war unlike the person from slaughter house 5.

Better than me

This video is an exerpt from one of my favorite anime shows when i was younger. This also includes a song from one of my favorite bands wich is hinder. The name of this song is Better Than Me which is about a guy who misses his girlfriend and remembers things he misses which for instance is her hair blowing in her face.
The anime is called outlaw star which was about a group of people trying to find a sacred place in the stars on a ship that could only find it it is a very touching story I think.though I can not remember much of it it is still one of my all time favorite shows of all time.
